Mother's Day

I was telling someone recently that being mom is the most rewarding thing that I have ever done.  It is also the most difficult thing I have ever done.  I find it hard to even remember what it was like before I was a mom of 2 boys.....what did I do with all of my time??  I feel fairly certain that I was not as productive as I could have been ;)

This year for Mother's Day Andy let me "sleep in" while he made me breakfast.  He didn't know exactly what I would be wanting so he made a few different things.  This small gesture meant a lot.  The boys were extra sweet and gave me extra hugs and kisses, too. 

The rest of the day was spent celebrating our moms.  We went to Nana's house first, followed by Grandma's house, and ultimately ended up at Gigi's house where Uncle Bub made us all a steak dinner. 

I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything in the world.  I thank God daily for picking me for the the job.

April Photo Dump

I am thinking that I am going to make the photo dump a regular thing around here.  I find that I am taking more and more photos on my phone and I want to make sure they are cataloged for the boys.  So here is April....

Clowning Around

After going to Build-a-Bear we headed over to the Johansen's for Colin's 3rd birthday party!  I didn't take many pictures, but I did manage to get a couple of the boys in with their clown noses on!  Baby Wyatt even got in on the action - so cute.

Build-A-Bear

Luke got a gift card from the Usserys to Build a Bear for his birthday and we finally took him to use it last weekend.  Luke loves stuffed animals so this place was perfect for him.  After looking at all of his choices he finally settled on the monkey.  He stuffed him, picked out his heart, gave him a bath, and found the perfect clothes.  He even came up with the name on his own......Bananas!  So cute.  Benji also got to build a bear, too.  He was so cute doing everything he saw his big brother do.  His bear is named Sammy and he has no clothes :(  After building the new friends we let the boys take a ride on the carousel at the mall.  It was a fun morning!  Thank you Sarah, Josh and baby Wyatt!

Easter 2013

This year we celebrated Easter with my family out at my cousin Justin's house.  Luke loves going out there because they have a big trampoline and cousins to play with.  He has been talking about going back to Justin's a lot lately.  I am pretty sure he has his eye on the pool ;) 

Easter egg hunts are fun and spending time with family is great, but knowing that Jesus died and rose again as promised is  PRICELESS :)

Easter Eggs

This year was the first year we decided to dye Easter eggs.  Luke is still a little young to really get into it so we stuck to just dying the eggs different colors.  He enjoyed taking the eggs in and out of the dye and while he waited for the color to set in he got to watch a movie -- double bonus!
