2 Year Pictures

I took Luke to get his 2 year old pictures made this morning.  He looks like such a little boy now -- where did my baby go?  Luke is having an Elmo Party in a couple of weeks, so to go along with the theme we took some pictures in his Elmo clothes.

The Slide

Caleb's dad made him this really cool play room with a slide a few months ago.  Up until this weekend, Luke has been slightly intimidated by the slide and really had no interest in going down it.  After seeing some other kiddos take the plunge at Caleb's party, Luke mustered up enough courage to go down it all by himself -- 3 times!!  Thankfully Kelly was at the bottom and able to catch this moment on film.  I am so proud of him for conquering his fear of the slide!

Little Picasso

We went to Caleb's 2nd birthday this past weekend.  The theme was Choo-Choo Caleb's Two and one of the activities was painting a train.  Luke looked so big sitting at the table with the other kiddos.  As you can see here, he was very serious about his painting.

11 Weeks Old

Benjamin has started laughing, almost a belly laugh, when we tickle him!  He is especially ticklish on the bottom of his feet and on his ribs.  I love it!

Papa and the Boys

Papa came in town for the weekend and stopped by to spend some time with his grandsons.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Aunt Nina got Luke this cute tuxedo shirt for Valentine's Day so he wore it to his first Valentine's Day party at school.  The only thing from the day that left an impression on him was that he got to eat "strawberries and berries" at school.  Oh, and that Parker had to go to time out for hitting Luke S.  I love the things that he tells me about school.

10 Weeks Old

Benjamin is now 10 weeks old and getting cuter by the minute!  Everywhere I go I seem to get comments on how pretty he is.  I know that I am biased, but I think I have the cutest kids in the bunch!  I am proud to announce that Benjamin has slept through the night for the past 5 nights in a row!  I am happy that we reached this milestone BEFORE I went back to work.....lets just hope it sticks!

A New Kind of Hat

Luke turns EVERYTHING into a hat.  He was pretty proud of himself when he discovered that a wipe made a good hat.  Of course, he insisted that I take a picture so that he could see himself!

Big Truck

We stopped by Josh and Sarah's house in Waxahachie on our way home from Houston.  Luke absolutely adores Josh and could not wait to see his "big truck."  Josh recently got his Jeep lifted and it is definitely big to Luke!  While in the garage Luke wanted to get in the truck.  As soon as he got in he said, "buckle up Daddy, buckle up."  He is ready to go muddin' Josh!

Sharing a Moment

Sarah captured this picture of Andy and Luke sharing a moment while we were in Houston.  They laid there for quite sometime singing songs together.  It is moments like these that I want to remember forever.

Wonderwild

While we were in Houston, Andy and I took Luke to an indoor play place called Wonderwild.  We thought it would be fun to spend some one on one time with Luke while Ben hung out at the hospital with Gigi and the Jambers.  Wonderwild had lots of fun things for toddlers.  Luke played in the balls, climbed on the cheese, rode the car and tricycle, and slid down the little slide.  The thing that Luke did not do is climb up in the play structure maze.  We recently took him to McDonald's and he bumped his face on the slide.  Andy is pretty sure that he is ruined for the time being when it comes to structures, tubes, and slides.  I was really hoping he would want to go up because it was big enough that I didn't have to crawl (this is becoming increasing more difficult as I age).  Even though he didn't want to go climbing and sliding we all managed to have a great time!  Thanks Mom for watching Ben.

Happy Birthday Jack!

Aunt Sarah and Uncle John are proud to announce that baby Jack Timothy made his rather quick grand appearance into this world on Sunday, February 5th at 8:14am.  He weighed in at 7lbs 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.  The boys are so excited to have a baby cousin and I am super excited that my sister is finally a mom!! Here are some pictures from our time visiting baby Jack in the hospital.

 

9 Weeks Old

I am happy to report that Benjamin rolled over from tummy to back today, twice!  I am not 100% convinced that he knew what he was doing though.... :)

Coloring

Luke has started to show an interest in coloring now.  Makayla passed down a little art table to Luke and it provides the perfect little place for him to get in touch with his inner Picasso!

Jelly Face

We had biscuits for breakfast this morning.  I think that Luke had more jelly on his face then ended up in his mouth!

TWO Months Old

Baby Ben is 2 months old! The time is going by way too fast.  At 2 months old Benjamin weighs in at 12 lbs & 13 ozs (75th percentile) and is 24 inches long (75th-90th percentile).  I don't remember his head circumference number, but it was also in the 75th percentile.  At his check up Dr. Terk commented on how strong he was for only 2 months old and, of course, he is meeting all of his milestones.  I definitely have to mention that my little guy took his vaccines like a champ.  His little Sesame Street band aids were so cute!

Benjamin is really a very good and cuddly baby.  He is still wearing his 0-3 month clothes, but is most likely going to move up to the 3-6 month sleepers very soon.  He is eating ~4-5 ounces every 3 hours during the day and is sleeping anywhere between 5-7 hours consecutively at night.  He has yet to really get into a routine and some days he naps all day and others he barely sleeps at all.

Ben has found his little voice.  He coos all day long and does this little yell thing when he wants to get your attention.  He has started to really notice his surroundings.  He seems to enjoy looking at Mr. AC Vent the most and has recently noticed Mr. Fan.  Ben really enjoys being in his swing, especially when we turn on the star lights and mobile. 

Luke has really enjoyed taking pictures with his brother lately.  Sometimes he asks me to lay a blanket on the floor and take pictures of him.  He is very observant of how I am posing Benjamin and tries to position himself the same way.  The boys are so sweet together and I love being their mommy.

 This kid makes me smile!

P.S. I went back and looked at the pictures I took of Luke at 2 months and it turns out they are wearing the exact same onesie!!
