Lambert's and Shakes

We decided to try the famous Lambert's, "the only home of throwed rolls," while we were in Gulf Shores.  This restaurant was CRAZY!  We were all just on sensory over load as soon as we walked in the door.  First off, they literally throw your roll at you from across the way.  The servers were fun and cheerful and made sure we all had a good time.  One thing you should know is that this place has no shortage of food.  They have people walking around with huge pots and bowls of family sides before your meal even comes (things like fried okra, mac & cheese, black eyed peas, fried potatoes.....).  In addition to these family style sides your meal comes with 2-3 more sides.  There was so much food I was getting full just seeing it all.  If you are ever in Gulf Shores you should check it out just so you can see what I am talking about!  After Lambert's we headed over to Shakes for some frozen custard.  Shakes used to be in College Station, so Sarah said we had to go.....we all have fond memories of the place :)
