Halloween 2013

Halloween is probably one of my least favorite holidays.  I don't like evil things and or people who enjoy scaring little kids.  In fact, I don't really even like to dress up.  But what I do like is the excitement I see on my kids faces.  I love the way they get excited about their costume and the way they look forward to spending the evening outside with family. I also love to see the entire neighborhood outside having fun.  I know that there is a lot of evil associated with Halloween, but for now we will continue to celebrate it -- and I might even look forward to it next year :)

Costume Parade

The boys had their annual costume parade actually on Halloween this year.  I had to work, but Andy and Mom were able to catch a peek of the boys in the parade collecting their candy!

Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat

The Sunday before Halloween Andy and I took the boys to a local church for their trunk or treat and fall festival.  We decided to not wear their real Halloween costumes and opted to be a dinosaur and Super Man instead.  Benjamin LOVED being a dinosaur and didn't want to take it off!  He had no problems jumping in the bounce house as Rex, even though I new he was hot.  Luke really enjoyed the blow up slide and the hayride.  It was a fun evening out for our family of 4.

Museum Day, Hip Hip Hooray!

Last weekend Mom and I decided to take Luke, Ben, and Jacob to science museum while Andy was out mountain biking with some friends.  The museum currently has the Curious George exhibit so that is where we started.  After CG we headed over to the cattle trail exhibit to see some cows --what little boy doesn't like cows??  Last, we ended up in the children's area where we laid on a bed of nails, dug for dinosaur bones, played trains, and played in the outdoor water exhibit.  We ended the day at DQ for some lunch and an ice cream cone (a side note: Jake told me they are opening a DQ down the street from our house!!!).  The boys had a great time and took a great nap once we got home.  We love having fun things to do here in the city, especially when Jacob and Gigi can come along, too!
