Trip to Houston

Back in July I loaded up the mini van and took Luke and Ben to Houston to see the Jambers.  This was a good time for me to spend time with my sister and it also allowed Andy a weekend at home to catch up on a few projects.  We had so much fun while down there.  We went to the pool a couple of times, jumped on Jack's bounce house, and went to a Luau Party.  It was a great few days and a much needed trip before Carter and the boys arrived!

Our Weekend at the Lake -- Part IV

Our last morning at the lake house was spent enjoying our favorite part of the house -- the backyard.  We ate breakfast on the deck and the kids played in the yard.  They all got in a few more swings on the tree swing (easily Ben's favorite thing about the weekend) and we finished up with our signature family photo.  We had a great time at the lake house remembering and missing Dad.  While I am close to my family and I see them often, I look forward to being able to get away together for many years to come. 

 

Our Weekend at the Lake -- Part III

We managed to get out of the house Saturday evening while we were at the lake house.  We went to a family fun center that had go karts, rides, and games for the kids.  Jack seemed to enjoy the go karts, Benji liked the play place, and Luke and Makayla loved the bumper cars.  After our fun and cashing in our tickets we headed over to a local restaurant for some good food.  It ended up being a great night out and the kids had a blast which was a win for all!!

Our Weekend at the Lake -- Part II

The second day at the lake started out early on the dock in our jammies.  The kids loved being out on the dock and the mommies secretly cringed.  Sarah, who hates fish with all of her being, was fishing with Jack when she actually caught a fish!  I wish I would have had a video because she freaked right on out! Most of the day was spent lounging around and watching the kids play outside.  We did manage to get out for the evening (see part III) and then came home for s'mores!  What a great day!
