Backyard Pool

We bought Luke a blow up pool to splash around in this summer.  We tried it out for the first time one evening a couple of weeks ago.  Luke was a little suspicious of the cold water at first, but ended up having some fun. 

The best part was when we got inside......after swimming and getting dressed he wanted me to wrap the towel around him so that he could sit in his rocking chair.  He is so stinking cute.  I love this kid!!

 

Take me out to the Ballpark

We went to a FW Cats game a few weeks ago.  This was Luke's first baseball game and he seemed to enjoy it.  Okay, he really wasn't much into the ballgame itself, but he sure enjoyed being outside and eating Daddy's strawberry chiller.  We had a good time and will definitely go back soon.

Sunglasses

We got Luke some sunglasses to wear while he was in the truck.  Needless to say, this pair of sunglasses didn't last long!  He popped the lens out and broke the frame in no time :(

Backyard Fun

Luke loves going over to Gigi's house and playing in the back yard.  He especially loves playing in the water on hot summer evenings.  Gigi lets him help her water the flowers and when he gets thirsty he takes a drink!  When all the work is done he gets to play.  Thank you Gigi for all the backyard fun!

 

YMCA Pool

We spent the Saturday before Memorial Day at the YMCA pool.  I thought that I had more pictures, but it turns out that I don't.  Even though the water was a bit cold Luke had a good time splashing around!  We look forward to many more visits to the pool this summer.

First Trip to the Zoo

At the end of May Andy and I took an afternoon off of work to take Luke to the zoo.  We wanted to get a visit in before it got too hot and before school was out for the summer.  The day ended up being beautiful and the zoo wasn't crowded at all.  Uncle Robert happened to be off of work and was able to join us.  We had a great afternoon.  Luke enjoyed being outside and looking at the animals.  When it was all said and done though, the only animal he was interested in seeing was "Lella."

The Greats

Luke's Great Grandmother and Great Grandaddy came up to visit from the Valley a couple of weeks ago (Bob's mom and dad).  We don't get to see them very often since they live so far away so we were thankful they came for a visit!

Let's Jump

A couple of weeks ago we celebrated Jacob's 7th birthday at Let's Jump.  Luke didn't get much sleep before we went so he was kind of cranky and a bit of a party pooper!  Despite Mr. Cranky Pants attitude we managed to have some fun!  Somehow I left the party without getting any pictures of the birthday boy.......

Big Brother!

Yep, the rumors are true -- Luke is going to be a big brother!!
